Generic characters don't have full background details such as names, portraits, and all five Aspects. Many of them do have a clear concept expressed through Aspects, but you can always modify those before you start play.
 
Different collections of generic characters have been published in the [[Starter Rules]], ''[[Curse of the One-Eyed Witch]]'', and [[:File:Pregenerated Characters for Magonomia Early Access v2.pdf ‎| Early Access character bundle]]. Some details of spells have changed during the evolution from [[Starter Rules]] to [[Magonomia Core Rules]]. Shewstone Publishing is working on bringing the pregenerated characters up to date.
